dc.description.abstract Workers in high risk jobs like building & construction workers, fire men, miners etc. are frequently facing dangerous situations. Safety of these workers is an utmost concern of the employers. Equipment and tools that can assist and provide safety are in high demand. This paper focuses on the safety in mining industry. Mostly miners face high temperature, dangerous gases and darkness. As a context aware application, a Smart Working Helmet was developed to detect the dangerous situations faced when working in the dangerous areas. With the help of Arduino, Temperature and Humidity sensor, Light sensor and Gas sensor were used to develop the safety helmet. en_US
